Where have I been? Upcoming weight loss challenge!

Hey Everyone! I have missed writing and posting,i have been away for a while now because i am in the process of opening a website that would have full information and details about style, beauty, basic lifestyle and fitness. The website would have a space for all the things that make up Versica and would be really helpful to everyone, not just focused on a particular group of people.  Anyways lets leave the website for now because it would be done at the end of the year and would be launched on 1 January 2017. Hurrayy!! i am actually very excited about it and i cannot wait to work with different people next year. Early in the summer I promised an exercise challenge but when i got a little busy i could not pull through to finishing my practice so i couldn't put up a challenge. My two weeks diet plan

I was way too lazy to workout at home so I didn't workout for the two weeks I was on this diet, I just ate, drank a lot of water and continued with basic life.  The process would have been a lot slower if I didn't have a good diet tea, so I would recommend the 'Uncle Lee's Dieter' it's a really good slimming tea and personally I think it's amazing. I also took lots of fruits and most of my food had fruits in them.  You can take the tea anytime you feel like but I take it two times a day, in the morning and at night before bed.  It is a 3 meal a day diet plan - Breakfast, Lunch and Snacks. I didn't add dinner because I actually don't like eating at night.  Breakfast   1. Bread and Avocado paste with tea ( uncle Lee's tea) : I usually just matchup avocado with salt and lime for the paste and put that on my bread.  2. Bread, Peanut butter/Nutella and fruits with tea.  3. Cereal, milk and fruits : I use low fat 'Lactel milk' or 'Cowbell&#

Shopping - what to know

                     Before I start on this I just want to confess 'I AM GUILTY'. Whenever I want to go shopping, I go to wherever I want to shop at with the ideal(s) of what I want to purchase but anytime I get there I end up buying different things and overspending, sometimes after shopping I'd realize that I didn't even buy what I intended on in the first place. Lol. It's always a mess.  Good news : I finally found a way that I can shop without buying unnecessary items or overspending.  Most of us have this same problem and no matter how hard we try to stop it, it keeps reoccurring. Now my solution may seem a little awkward sometimes I believe it's best we 'MAKE A LIST'! I cannot overemphasize on how essential it is to do a shopping checklist especially when you have the same challenge as I have.  How do I make a shopping list?  I will explain just the few tips that I put into consideration and you can see from there how to end up with a good shopping

Meal prepping/planning

 Meal prepping is a great way to reduce food intake and stay on a diet consistently. Eating healthy is very important for weight loss, staying fit and even general health care. You have to eat to loss weight.  It's simply an act of preparing your meal at once either weekly or daily for a healthier food intake.  Scheduling your meal and planning what to eat next can be tasking but you realize that when you start and continue for a while, you just get used to it. I would have shared a picture but I'm working on mine. You can decide to prepare your food for the whole day at once or for the whole week even.           Advantage of meal planning   1. Reduces intake of food : Meal prepping helps reduce food intake because the portion of food would already be pre determined. Now that you are taking care of your exterior, it would be good to also work on the interior. It is quite disappointing to find beautiful people with such terrible attitudes- all that glitters really is not gold. It is true that beauty is pain but do you really have to make others feel this pain too? Do you really need all the negativity?   Dieting, according to Wikipedia " is the practice of eating food in a regulated and supervised fashion to decrease, maintain, or increase body weight.  From this definition, we can see that there are three kinds of dieting ; 1. For weight loss - which is what this post is about. 2. To maintain body weight. 3. To increasing the body. Dieting for weight loss  This is the restriction on what you can and cannot eat, or the consumption of food substances that helps reduce the body weight.  When you reduce weight, you tend to look slimmer, you start to feel lighter - which would help you carry out day to day activities, it would help your breathing and also your heart rate and reduces your chances of diseases caused by obesity or overweight.  Why you should not go on a diet There are so many reasons why we should not go on a diet or try too hard to lose weight, especially because of pressure from others. Workout Outfits - it's not a big deal

 It  does not have to be a big deal dressing up to the gym, come on it's the gym. No matter what you decide to wear the point is that you'll sweat all over that outfit so do not take your time preparing for the gym like you're going to the club or to a ball. The rule is - no make up, no heels, no jewelries etc. you wear whatever basic gym clothes you have and jump on that thread mill like no one's watching. Really though, no one cares.  If you're going for a morning jog, personally I sometimes sleep in my sport bra so that I can wake up and just wear a sweat pant and a jacket and run out asap.  If you get confused on what to wear all the time, you can do what I do- that is ; 1. We are all victims of the 'I don't have what to wear' talk even though our closet is flowing with different options and clothes, we still won't have what to wear. What I have noticed is if it happens to you regularly then you know that you need to upgrade your closet. Time to go shopping. OUT WITH THE OLD,....   Detoxing is the removal of toxin/ toxic substances or waste from the body system, usually carried out by the liver. Detoxing is very essential for a more healthy living and a better diet because it enhances weight loss, improves the skin tone, helps food digestion, reduces bloating and cleanses the total body systems. It is necessary to detoxify at least once in a year, just take 5days out of the 365 days we have in a year just to cleanse your system and remove toxin. Gym bag essentials

  You can have anything you like in your fitness bag as long as it is related to fitness. These are some essential things that I would recommend must always be in your bag for a more satisfying gym day.   1. Water bottle : It is important for everyone to drink water, it helps the entire body system function properly. Water should be taken before and after your workout session. Doctors have recommended 8 glasses and more daily.  2. Towel : After a successful workout session you should be gushing sweat. Some would say, sweat is fat crying. Workout sweat is the good sweat but so is toweling it down, we don't want to leave the gym looking like someone just emptied a bucket on us. Having a towel is really important.  3.  A styling block is basically when you have what to wear but you do not know how to put it together or style it for the day. I used to always have a styling block, It can be very annoying especially when you want to rush off someplace.  Here are some of the things I do when I have a styling block :  1. Watch YouTube style videos: some days you can feel the block coming so what to do when you feel it coming is, watch some styling videos on YouTube you might see an outfit that goes with your mood for the week.   image: Shirley B. Loosing weight and staying fit can be one of the hardest things to do. It takes a lot of motivation, courage and consistency. Shuting your eyes to things that you typically love doing like lazining around, eating, and just doing whatever you want to meal planning, dieting, gyming and being conscious of your daily routines. It's even harder to focus when you have people telling you all the time that you look like you have added a couple extra pounds after the holidays or friends and family that look slimmer than you do or family members that have successfully lost weight telling you that you are just being lazy. Do not listen to any of their comments but be inspired because if you want to lose any weight or be fit it should be because you want to and you no longer feel comfortable not because someone else wants you to, you know why?
